A bank holiday weekend is upon us.  Here are some ideas to make sure you spend this four-day segement of leave from the work place enjoying the sunshine, sporting fixtures rather than hitting up the DIY shop!


TITANIC BELFAST


Celebrate the July Bank Holiday Weekend at Titanic Belfast. Say hello to the Titanic mascots and challenge the kids with the Explorer Trail throughout the Titanic Experience from 9am – 6pm from Thusday 12th to Sunday 15th July . Titanic Belfast extends over nine interactive galleries, drawing together dark rides, special effects, interactive features and full-scale reconstructions. Explore the shipyard, travel to the depths of the ocean and uncover the true legend of the Titanic, before finishing up in Bistro 401 for a bite to eat with plenty of Kids Meal Deals on offer. CURFEW FESTIVAL 2018


Once an essential annual fixture for Belfast's alternative music scene in the 00s, the Curfew Festival was staged every July to counteract the traditional slump in live shows which coincided with the Twelfth 'festivities'. This year, Curfew is returning for a one-off special following a ten year absence. Spend the July bank holiday watchingbands, seeing friends and generally hanging out at the Black Box from 4pm-11.30pm and Voodoo from 5.30pm – 2.00am. A ticket gets you into either venue, but both venues have a small capacity of 240 so get down early to avoid disappointment. Tickets cost £15 and can be purchased from www.billetto.co.uk.  



DINOSAUR ENCOUNTER AT W5


This Bank Holiday weekend let W5 take you on a journey back in time to the lost world of the dinosaurs. Take part on a safari through dusky primordial landscapes and marvel at moving, roaring dinosaurs! Come face to face with the world-famous Tyrannosaurus Rex and step into a land that time forgot and meet the most fascinating creatures that ever roamed the earth. MIDDLE EASTERN DELIGHTS AT INDIE FUDE


Husband and wife team Dvir and Nicola of Mezze bring their Middle Eastern delights to Indie Füde for the first time. PARKLIFE 2018


 

Parklife brings loads of family fun to Wallace Park this weekend from 2-4pm on both Saturday and Sunday, including drama, dance, crafts and sporting activities for everyone to enjoy. The 'Park Life' pilot programme was first introduced in 2011 after the refurbishment of Wallace Park, aiming to assess the viability of Wallace Park as a venue for outdoor events. HMS CAROLINE’S SUMMER OF CINEMA
